Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Operated by CyberNovr Limited
At CYBERNOVR (trading as Novr Academy, “we”, “us”), we take your privacy as seriously as you do. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the NovrAcademy learning platform and novracademy.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to our online activities and is valid for visitors and users of the NovrAcademy platform. It does not apply to information collected offline or through channels other than this platform.
Consent
By using NovrAcademy, you consent to this Privacy Policy and agree to its terms.
Information we collect
The personal information you are asked to provide — and why you are asked for it — is made clear at the point of collection. This may include:
- Account information: name, email address, password (stored only as a salted hash), organisation or school name, and role.
- Learning activity: course enrolments, lesson progress, quiz and assessment answers, submitted practical work, certificates issued, community posts and messages, and instructor feedback.
- Payment information: when you pay a course or application fee, the transaction is processed by Paystack. We receive the transaction reference, amount, currency and status — we never see or store your full card number.
- Communications: if you contact support or apply through a CyberNovr form, we may receive your message and any information you choose to include.
- Technical data: standard server log files (IP address, browser type, ISP, date/time stamp, referring/exit pages). These are not linked to personally identifiable information and are used for operating the service, security monitoring and aggregate analytics of platform health.
How we use your information
- Provide, operate and maintain the learning platform
- Enrol you in courses, track progress, grade assessments and issue certificates
- Process payments and prevent fraud
- Improve, personalise and expand the platform
- Understand and analyse how the platform is used
- Communicate with you — service messages (enrolment confirmations, results, password resets), customer support, and, where you have opted in, marketing
- Find and prevent fraud, and enforce our terms
Who we share it with
We share the minimum necessary data with service providers who process it on our behalf: Paystack (payments), Cloudflare and Mux (course video delivery), our email provider (transactional messages), and our hosting providers. We do not sell your personal data. If we are required to disclose information by law, we will do so only to the extent required.
How long we keep it
We keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the original purpose of collection — typically for the life of your account and your enrolment records — and to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. Retention is determined by the amount, type and sensitivity of the data, the risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, and applicable legal requirements such as statutes of limitations. Certificates and assessment records may be retained beyond account closure for verification purposes.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to run the platform. The full inventory is in our Cookie Policy.
Third-party policies
This policy does not cover third-party websites or services linked from NovrAcademy. Consult the respective providers’ policies for more information. You can also disable cookies through your browser settings; some platform features require essential cookies to work.
Data protection rights (GDPR & NDPR)
Every user is entitled to the following:
- Right to access — request copies of your personal data
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data, under certain conditions
- Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
- Right to object to processing — under certain conditions
- Right to data portability — request transfer of your data to another organisation or to you, under certain conditions
